Our Sacred Heritage

“Restoring the Original Faith of the Messianic Judaic Heritage.”

Our Divine Mission

To sound the trumpet of the restoration of the apostolic and messianic foundations, awakening the children of Israel to their true identity and the imminent return of the Messiah.

The essence of our Ministry is the commandment YAHUSHUA of Nazareth gave the Believers before His ascension: “Go you therefore into the world, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in my name, and teaching them to observe all the commands I gave you.” (Matt. 28:18–19)

Who We Are

Yahweh People Assembly Inc. is a Messianic Congregation that officially came into existence in 1999, though our practice of Messianic Judaism started way back in 1987. Originally, it was a Christian Church called Riches of Christ Mission.

We are a non-profit spiritual and religious organization with headquarters at Plot 5, Boundary Avenue Housing Estate, Fegge, Onitsha, Anambra State, in the eastern part of Nigeria.

“Yahweh People Assembly was established on the basis of restoration and revival. Our dream is to restore and provide the only genuine spiritual alternative there is, for all those Christians and truth seekers from other religions who earnestly seek to know the personal name of the Creator, and then worship Him sincerely, by keeping His Commandments and believing exclusively in the Hebrew name of His only begotten Son and Messiah.”

We are dedicated to emphasizing the fundamental position of the Holy Bible — both the Old and the New Covenants — to keep the Commandments of YAHWEH, the Elohim of Israel, and to believe in the Hebrew name of His Son and Messiah, YAHUSHUA of Nazareth. (Rev. 12:17; 14:12)

The Journey of Faith

1972 — The Founding Church

Dr. Chiedozie I. E. Mba founded the Riches of Christ Mission as a Christian denomination, practicing Pentecostal Christianity in 1972. He served as its Bishop and General Overseer.

1987 — The Transformation

Dr. Mba received an unction and began the tortuous process of transforming the congregation toward Messianic Judaism. Since 1987, the Assembly has observed Saturday Shabbath and all of YAHWEH’s appointed festivals from Leviticus 23.

1999 — Formal Establishment

Under the inspired leadership and vision of Dr. Chiedozie I. E. Mba, the YAHWEH PEOPLE ASSEMBLY was formally established, cementing the transition from traditional denominational Christianity to the Original Faith.

Since 1987, the Assembly has discarded and discouraged the use of terms like LORD, Jehovah, and Jesus — unbiblical substitutions for the hallowed names YAHWEH and YAHUSHUA. We have equally discarded Roman festivals like Christmas, Easter, Sunday worship, Palm Sunday, and Halloween, returning to all the festivals commanded in Leviticus 23.

A Living Legacy

From its humble beginnings in Onitsha, the Assembly has grown into a beacon of eschatological truth and liturgical purity for seekers across Nigeria and beyond. Our efforts can be likened to the restoration carried out by the Prophet Elijah on Mt. Carmel, and later by the Baptist, Yohanan son of Zechariah, at the river Jordan.

Leadership

Bishop Presbyter Amos Ihesinulo — General Overseer

“Leadership in the House of Yahweh is not a position of power, but a mandate of stewardship over the ancient truths.”

Bishop Amos Ihesinulo has dedicated his life to the ministry of restoration. His leadership is defined by a deep commitment to the original Messianic liturgy and a profound understanding of eschatological events.

As the General Overseer, he continues to guide the assembly with a focus on spiritual discipline, communal worship, and the preparation of the elect for the days to come.

The Assembly is led by a Ministerial Council — a team of dedicated Bishops, Presbyters, Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers and Scholars immersed in the study of the Scriptures, doing their best in season and out of season to feed the flock with the spiritual meal they need.
